Group Training: Created to Connect

Group Training: Created to Connect

We discuss the importance of nurture and structure in parenting. We will then explore the four styles of parenting and compare traditional styles of parenting to connected styles of parenting. Learn why traditional approaches are not effective with children from difficult backgrounds. We will then learn the engagement strategies of the TBRI Connecting Principle. We will discuss how giving our child what the missed early in life (ex. playful engagement, eye contact, behavioral matching, healthy touch, and giving voice) will provide healing for our children. We will explore how connection disarms fear, builds trust, builds attachment, helps a child regulate, and makes a child feel precious which in turn helps decrease behaviors.

Approved for two hours of group credit.
